Welcome to Treiben Kennels. Our kennel is located in Steamboat Springs, CO.

Our dogs hunt blue grouse in our area, pheasant in South Dakota and Kansas, quail in Texas and chukar in Utah.

Our wish is that each puppy or started dog goes to a hunting home.

Our focus is to breed wirehairs with excellent temperaments and versatile 4-wheel drive, all day long hunting dogs.

All of our dogs do “yard work drills” and point and retrieve birds weekly – except in the winter, when we average 400 + inches of snow.
